The navigation system's job is to determine the spacecraft's position (especially the height), orientation and velocity.

• determine position and rotation
• determine velocity and angular velocity
• used for steering/flight path correction
• used for determining when to activate the parachute
• used for proving we've reached the Kalman line

• known reliability

• known precision
