Hello

I'm an Illustrator from Norway. I joined this place because I always wanted to be in this industry as a kid, but ended up being creative instead.

I have some experience in:

- Poster making

- Brochure/pamplets

- Concept art

- Logo design

- Some maya

I'm still a student, but working on my bachelor degree in illustration. I'm still young, I like to think so anyway. In my spare time I do some photography, and draw.

This February I was in Audio Visual crew at PyCon, and 'am now trying to learn some Python.

For the time being, I'm working on a big project for The Gathering 2010, computer party in Norway, where I'm in charge of the whole decoration.

Hm, I guess that is what I have for now. A short introduction is always better than a five page long one

Welcome :).

Great to have another artistic type around, I think tnylund has been doing some work on promotional videos (or at least idents for future promotional videos) so there might be things you can do to help out there.

Maya experience could be very useful, we currently have some sketchup models of some of the designs (which are slightly out of date I believe), so some more up-to-date models in Maya might be great from the purposes of promotional videos (I had a quick attempt at converting some of the sketchup models to povray format for similar reasons, but haven't taken that much further).

You might also like to take a look at some of the t-shirt/merchandising threads in the fund raising forum, when we finally get the merchandising sorted out it'd be great to have a few more designs than just a plain shirt with the CSTART logo.

If you want to try flexing your python skills then there's USOFS (Uncontrolled Sub-Orbital Flight Simulator): http://cstart.org/forum/projec…..-software/

I look forward to seeing what you produce :).

Welcome to the team! We can definitely use another artistic type, and as Elleo pointed out, we have python related tasks as well. We can always use good concept art, promotional materials and so on. Also, it's really not a problem that you are still a student. You would hardly be the only one working with us!

Elleo covered most of what I would have wanted to say, so I think I'm going to leave it at that. I look forward to working with you.

Welcome to the team. At this early stage of the project artsy types such as yourself are very important so that we can take our ideas and present them to a wide audience in an aesthetically pleasing manner.
