This project is right up my alley. I'm not sure how I could jump in and lend my skills. I'm going to be experimenting with autonomous flying machines soon. If I could be involved in ones going to space then all the better!

Welcome aboard! Could you tell us a little more about your background and your autonomous flying machine project? Are you more experienced/knowledgable with software or hardware? Have you worked with GPS and/or inertial navigation before? The more information you give us about your skills etc. then the easier it will be for someone to suggest a way you can help. Of course, you can also look at the forums/wiki/etc and get your own idea about what is involved in the various projects.

Welcome to the team. I too am interested in hearing about the "autonomous flying machines". The technology that runs in something like that is surprisingly close to the type of software that some of our stuff will need.

Welcome! Those kind of skills could be a lot of help. I would also be interested to hear about the UAVs. In any case, I look forward to working with you.
