Spotted this project on reddit and thought I would stop by. Looks awesome so I joined up, will help wherever I can. Have decent programming ability (mostly Java sadly). Can draw a little, nothing fancy but concept sketches I can handle. Obviously some understanding of physics, as well as some very basic EE (minor robotics stuff, a little circuit design).

Kind of a Jack of all Trades kind of thing (well, maybe more of an 8 or 9 of all trades).

Welcome aboard!  The sort of knowledge you describe is certainly still enough to be helpful – most of us have been thinking about things outside of our immediate areas of expertese just by relying on what general scientific knowledge we do have and by reading everything relevant we can find on the web.

If you'd be happy to do some concept drawing, it's possible you could be of help pretty much immediately.  At the moment we're working fairly hard on getting a Project Overview document for our moon project looking relatively complete.  You can follow the discussion of it in this forum thread.  Right now the document is very much full of text and we'd like there to be more figures in it.  In that thread I have already posted a simple concept diagram for Apollo that I would love to see reproduced for our project.  If you had any other ideas for suitable images after reading through the document we'd be very happy to hear them.

Main CLLARE workgroups: Mission Planning, Navigation and Guidance. I do maths, physics, C, Python and Java.

Welcome to the team! With that skill set, I'm sure you'll be able to find any number of things you can help with. There's all kinds of work to be done.

If you want a specific task, feel free to just look around and see what catches your eye. The project overview document needs concept art, and the latest variations in the lander and CLLARE could use at least some sketches. Almost every workgroup, plus OHKLA, will have tasks requiring electrical engineering and/or physics knowledge. Navigation and Guidance Workgroup and OHKLA both have uses for physics + programming at this point, mostly for simulations. Everything technical is in need of smart people with science or engineering backgrounds to bat around ideas. Just go do whatever looks fun and helpful.

Thanks!

Main work groups: Propulsion (booster), Spacecraft Engineering, Computer Systems, Navigation and Guidance (software)
