Hey all,

I'm not a space engineer, but I've always been interested in the subject…

I'm a high level IT Engineer with focus around desktop/server automation.  I know about a dozen programming/scripting languages at various levels, and experience coding front-end and back-end websites (backend experience is mostly with PHP).  I also know Database technologies really well, mostly around MS SQL and MySQL.

Welcome to the team!

It doesn't matter if you are not a space engineer, we still need people like you.

With your current skillset you can definitely help us out in some way or the other since our entire web presence is using PHP+MySQL

Recently we had a small discussion of using one login system for the forum and wiki. Right now we need to register for two different accounts. May be you can help us with that?

Cool thanks.  Yeah I think I can help you with that, I've done something similar in the past, shouldn't be too hard.

Welcome, Clicker! :)

Single sign-in our various services would be a God send!  Especially if we could also include Elgg, assuming we get it up and working.

If you are interested in doing some substantial web development work for us, we absolutely have ideas that you could look at.  This thread has some discussion and rough mock screenshots of a web app we'd love to have to help us implement our system for collaboratively making technical decisions in a principled way.  If you'd be interested in helping build that app, let us know!  We would jump at the chance to see this idea take shape and will give you all the guidance you need to get started.  I have done a little PHP work myself (using the Symfony framework), and would be happy to help our where I could.

Main CLLARE workgroups: Mission Planning, Navigation and Guidance. I do maths, physics, C, Python and Java.

Welcome to the team! Your programming experience is very valuable because software is one area that we can begin working on without the need for a workshop or materials. Make yourself at home and enjoy yourself.
