Hello all,

I've been kicking this around in my head for a bit, and I've finally decided to see if I can do any good for you.

I am a mechanical engineer, currently residing in southeast Texas. I work for a very large centrifugal pump company. My role is pretty varied, I do everything from basic materials analysis, to structural analysis, failure analysis, and in general just trying to figure out why something didn't work. As such, I really can't say I'm a specialist in any one field, but I have resources to hit up when I need to find someone who is. There is a machine shop literally outside my office door, so I have quite a bit of knowledge about manufacturing processes. My life seems to stay in a constant state of chaos, so I really don't know how much I'll be able to contribute, but I love space and I really want to see the private sector (or open-source) get rolling.
