I'm a psychology major and have no professional skills that can be of a direct benefit to CSTART. However, I have had a lifelong fascination with space and the possibility of space travel. I've joined the CSTART forums after some initial trepidation concerning my usefulness but I have decided that I must offer my help in any way I can. I'll be the guy who gets everyone food during long build periods if need be but I'll be damned if I don't try to contribute somehow. I do have some experience fundraising so perhaps I can help there. At the least I can help to spread the word about CSTART. I am looking forward to getting to know everyone and seeing CSTART's vision come to life.

Essentials:
College age male from the Eastern US.
Technical Experience: Basic electronics (AM radios ftw!), very amateur programming (VB, C++) and an Astronomy 101 course
Work Experience: 5 years retail, 1 year telephone sales rep.
Favorite episode of Star Trek: "Darmok"

EDIT: Mispelled Darmok

Welcome!

Thanks for wanting to help out. We are definitely going to need fundraising, so I don't think you will be nearly as useless as you fear. In fact, other than legal skills it will be one of the first things we are going to need.

Main work groups: Propulsion (booster), Spacecraft Engineering, Computer Systems, Navigation and Guidance (software)

Great to have you on board!

The great thing about this project is that there is really no limit to the skills that we need. Look at NASA, they are a humongous organization and I'm sure that they have their fair share of psychologist. Of course engineers and machinists are high on the priority list.

Main Workgroups: Propulsion & Spacecraft Engineering
