How do people feel about the idea of setting up a CSTART IRC channel? The freenode network would probably be an excellent place to host this (this involves filling out a form and waiting for a bit, but that's all). Do we think this would be a useful thing to have or are our current means of communication sufficient?

I wouldn't be suprised if wave can adequately replace irc, so we might want to wait a little on this. If it turns out that wave sucks or we don't really use it in practice, then maybe.

Ah, yes! I'd forgotten about Wave, I'm still not really sure what it is/isn't. Maybe it's time I finally sat down and had a play with it. I agree that if it can easily fulfil the role of IRC then there's not much point in doubling up on functionality.
