There has been a wonderful amount of good work done on OHKLA recently. It feels like that project is starting to come together. We have also just had a few new members show up who might be able to help us start making progress on some of the issues we have neglected so far (comms, avionics).
In light of the above, do people agree that now might be a good time to start an OHKLA Overview Document, like the one we have for CLLARE? Somewhere to put all the details of our work so far. This would of course go in the Mercurial repository.

That seems reasonable. Unfortunately, I won't have much time to devote to such things until after SpaceUp, with my finals comming up.

I might be able to get this prepared while I am at the conference I am going to. I will have some spare time there and limited internet access (the hotel has wifi, but it's very expensive). Unless I can find a nearby cafe wtih free wifi or something I will mostly be working offline. An OHKLA overview document should be fairly amenable to this situation. I'll see what I can come up with.

I have committed the first version (0.1) of the OHKLA overview document to the Mercurial repository and added some links to it to the Wiki. You can check it out here. It's still very much a work in progress, I didn't have as much time to spare on it during my time away as I thought. Hopefully we can flesh it out a little more before SpaceUp.

So far, it's a good start. There are some minor errors I have noticed and room for more material, which hopefully I can help out with. I would also like to make the suggestion that we spell Karman line like "Kármán line".

It looks like a nice start. During our IRC meeting hopefully we can hash out some of the requirements document and then apply those specs to the overview document.

Good point! Fortunately LaTeX makes it very easy to include all sorts of odd accents etc., I will take care of this in the next revision.
