I have created a CLLARE mission overview page on the Wiki.  The plan is for this to be a moderately detailed description of the entire mission from start to finish.  References to particular vehicles, technologies, maneuvers etc should link to dedicated Wiki pages if possible.  This page will be an important one for newcomers to test whether or not we actually have some idea of what we are doing and hope of succeeding, so we should try to keep it in good shape.

It's quite incomplete now, but I will work on it more today.  Writing this out, it has become apparent to me that we have a lot of work to do in tidying up the descriptions of just what happens prior to and after lunar EVA.  Getting from LEO to lunar orbit and lunar orbit onto a reentry course are conceptually quite straight forward.  The various "nearly docking" operations and EVA activities in between are complicated and right now we've engaged in a fair bit of hand waving.

Main CLLARE workgroups: Mission Planning, Navigation and Guidance. I do maths, physics, C, Python and Java.

"long tubes with spouts and funnels" hardware like that used to refuel Earth aircraft in flight.

Funny you should mention this. That is actually my job in real life. I fly on a KC-135 Stratotanker and refuel other aircraft in flight. I don't think that anything that we do is necessarily useful for CLLARE but I at least know how the mating hardware works.

Wow, that's a really cool job.  Not to get too off-topic, but Is this with the USAF?  What kind of aircraft do you refuel?

Yes, I am a boom operator in the USAF. We refuel just about anything and everything that is capable (minus Russian or Chinese aircraft) of in flight refueling. I actually might have the opportunity to work with the Australian F-111s next spring before they retire.

That's really cool, thanks for the link to your pics.  I used to be a huge military aircraft geek when I was in highschool.  I was even in the RAAF's cadet program.  I've kind of drifted out of touch with the latest developments with our air force, though.  I didn't realise we were retirin g the F-111s, although it's high time that we did, if I recall we were the only country on Earth still using them.  Anyway, this is well and truly off topic now!
