I just saw this on reddit. It's part of the source code for the Command Module's (CM) Apollo Guidance Computer (AGC), for Apollo 11.

*note: I don't understand the code, but I hope others out there will.

Here is the Google Code project home page, where it states: "The purpose of this project is to provide an emulation of the on-board Apollo guidance computers, along with some ancillary items needed to make the emulation do something interesting."

I also found what seems to be their homepage.

That's a pretty cool find. I'm not sure what use it would be to us, unless some one wants to reverse engineer a bunch of 40 year old assembly code (likely to be an "adventure" to say the least). This is definitely an interesting project, though. I may have to install that to play round with it.

Main work groups: Propulsion (booster), Spacecraft Engineering, Computer Systems, Navigation and Guidance (software)

I suspect that the combination of the old assembly code and what are probably quite old numerical methods by modern standards will make this of relatively little use for us.  It's still quite an interesting project, however.

Main CLLARE workgroups: Mission Planning, Navigation and Guidance. I do maths, physics, C, Python and Java.
