There has been a lack of activity in the forums, facebookpage, cstart/wiki, and blog. I haven't seen much happen in the last 5 months. I've had a response on reddit from someone stating – that they manage the CSTART website and facebook page, and that it looks like all of the members have been busy with other things.

What has kept everyone so busy for five months that keeps them from any interaction with these sites? I'm very curious.

I would like to participate and contribute, but If given no other response I will have to move on to another organization/group.

If CSTART has "disbanded", merged, or anything of the sort, would someone be so kind to redirect me? If not- what is the cause of such a lack of participation? If it's something solvable, I am willing to contribute money, responsibility, and time to get this back up and running.

Regards,

Andrew

Hi,

It's true, CSTART has been quite for quite some time. I have tried quite hard to keep up the progress and enthusiasm. I feel that not much can be done with out any tangible object to show off. We had good support and good infrastructure, yet, it wasn't always good enough.

As for me, I am starting a new organization. I haven't made this public yet. I first want to develop some real products; something to show outsiders that there is something to support. This will also give me the ability to manage the infrastructure in a more controlled manner.

My goal is to start a community that builds space exploration tools for beginners. At the moment I am working on simple rockets and telescope equipment. I would like that these could be packaged as DIY kits, too. We will not be going to the moon, but crossing the line of space is a fantastic target.

You can view a test site here. Don't be too critical, yet. Most of the content is filler (and sometimes the banner doesn't show??). It was not meant to be shown to anyone. But, you asked :) When I am satisfied, I will move it to a permanent domain.
