There's apearently an award for "the next amateur team launching a vehicle to a height in excess of 200 kilometers, which in my opinion qualifies as an open source entry". The prize is three onces of gold, which Wolfram Alpha tells me is currently worth about $3000, so it's not exactly huge. However, every little bit helps, and this would give us something extra to brag about. I know 200 km is higher than we were thinking we'd design OHKLA for, but we could always adjust the design or try and win this with our modular booster.

Main work groups: Propulsion (booster), Spacecraft Engineering, Computer Systems, Navigation and Guidance (software)
