There was discussion about creating some CSTART shirts (t-shirts, sweatshirts, polos). I haven't heard much discussion about it lately. Let's continue. Given the state our organization is currently at, I would be proud to wear one . We can add an additional $5 or so to each shirt and put it towards our budget. The last I heard, we were discussing about using cafepress to create the shirts. Is that still the best option?
Do we also want to consider stickers, coffee mugs and other items??

I'm all for this, and think it ought to happen in the neer future. I think we will need to figure out how we will be handeling the money first, though.
I would say cafepress is the way to go, and all items that someone might resonably want are fair game.

I am also really looking forward to something like a Cafepress store with shirts and mugs.
The big issue really is money handling. Unless we have some sort of official legal entity in place to handle that money, there's going to be a serious trust issue involved.
It is possible to register as a non-profit org in the US without going all the way to 501(c)(3), right? Maybe we should just bite the bullet and do that? Either that or find some lawyers quick smart. I did do a brief check of Reddit for suitable places (/r/law, /r/legal, /r/legaladvice, etc) but couldn't find anything (just like I couldn't find any radio hams. People are harder to find on Reddit than one would think!).
It'll be great once we have this sorted out, though. Our logo looks so great, some nice promotional products would be excellent.
We may be able to incorporate a motto if we agree on one in time.

Would you like me to make an r/askreddit post looking for lawyers?

Is it time to ressurect this effort?
I know we are a little way away from being 501(c)(3) yet, but we are making steps in that direction.
Has anybody run a Cafepress store before? How do they get the money to you? Do they support Paypal? If we set one up now and temporarily had the money going into the same Paypal account as our donations, would people buying stuff from the store be able to see that it was going to a personal account? If not, I see no reason why we couldn't set one up now and then just point it at a different account once we were a proper NPO.
What sort of designs would we like to see? I think an obvious choice would be to just have our logo with the text CSTART centred on a shirt, or a smaller version just covering one breast. The same design would look fine on mugs or baseball caps, etc. Do we want to do some fancier ones too, perhaps using some of Rocket's SketchUp renders?

I have looked into cafepress.com, they offer two types of shops – Basic or Premuim
Also how does this look for a t-shirt design?

It seems sensible to open a Basic Shop for now, since there is no monthly cost, and then upgrade when/if we can afford the monthly cost. Dopeople agree?
The shirt design looks great, I would absolutely buy one!
